Sustrans and Arup are conducting a research project on inclusive cycling and will produce a policy/sector paper to influence local and national government to shed light onto how to design cities for that allow everyone to cycle.
Building on the research undertaken by Sustrans on gender and cycling, this research will focus on two groups that are underrepresented in cycling: people aged 65 and over, and disabled people or people with long term health conditions.
They are currently in the process of gathering evidence from different stakeholder groups, and would really value members’ input. If you are aware of research or evidence relating to older people/disabled people and cycling that you think should be included in the literature review and inform our focus groups, could you please share them. If you are interested, they will keep you updated as the project develops and will share the final report with you. Please do not hesitate to get in touch should you have any questions.
Closing date is 31 December 2018
